Todd Clough
President and Chief Executive Officer
Todd Clough is the President of FCC. He was involved in efforts to establish Fairfield Chemical and joined when trading activities commenced in 1997. Prior to his current role he contributed in various management positions throughout the organization including: vessel operations, chartering, corporate planning and development, and finance. Before joining FCC, Todd had a 10-year career in banking that encompassed international operations, foreign exchange, and institutional trust. Todd earned B.A. degrees in English and History from Colgate University and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Jacob de Vries
Vice Chairman of Corporate Strategy
Jacob is a respected industry leader who is profoundly experienced in the chemical tanker trade. He provides planning and execution support across business units and also ensures the board and management have a focused and winning commercial strategy. Jacob joined FCC in 1999 as a shareholder and Chartering Manager responsible for the company’s contract portfolios. Prior to joining FCC he spent 14 years at M.T. Maritime BV and departed as Managing Director. Jacob attended the University of Applied Science and is a graduate of the Senior Executive Program at London Business School.

Stacey Miller
Senior Executive Vice President of Fleet Development and Marine Services
Stacey joined the company in 2001, eventually taking over management of the global vessel operations team responsible for the transportation of chemical products for the group. In 2015, he took on responsibility for group fleet development efforts, in addition to leading both the technical and operational vessel operations units. Stacey’s unique operational background combines 7 years sailing as licensed deck officer with 24 years of chemical tanker operations. Stacey has a B.S. in Computer Science from SUNY Maritime College and completed the Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School.

Masao Yoshii
President Fairfield Japan LTD
Masao Yoshii became President of Fairfield Japan Ltd. (FJL) in 2016. His involvement focuses on the FCC group’s long term charter relationships, as well as vessel owning, financing and technical management functions. Yoshii has over 40 years of experience in the shipping industry. In 1978, he worked with Taiyo Fishery Co., Ltd. and experienced design, shipbuilding and repair works of fishing boats, reefer vessels and tankers. In 1991 he moved to Daitoh Trading and established their chemical tanker business, holding posts including Financial and Accounting Director and GM of oil tank terminals in Yokohama. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture from the University of Tokyo.

Johan H. Halle
Senior Vice President, Global Chartering Manager
As Global Chartering Manager, Johan leads the efforts of Fairfield’s dynamic chartering teams to provide creative and proactive services to our customers. Johan joined FCC in Singapore in 2017 and took over the company’s worldwide chartering activities, including spot and contract portfolios, in 2020. Prior to FCC, Johan spent 20 years in a range of roles with Odfjell’s chartering departments in Tokyo, Singapore, Houston and Bergen. Johan holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Edinburgh and graduated from the highly regarded UCLA-NUS EMBA program in 2017.

Thomas Franklin
Senior Vice President, Vessel Operations
Thomas oversees the company’s fleet operations, leading the highly respected Global Operations and Port Captain Teams. Prior to joining FCC in 2004, Thomas spent several years sailing as a licensed deck officer on tankers. His time at sea and work as a Chemical Tanker Operator give him an unmatched understanding of the needs of our seafarers and commercial units. In support of the industry, he serves as both the FCC Representative and Treasurer of the International Parcel Tankers Association. Thomas is a graduate of the SUNY Maritime College with a B.S. in Marine Transportation.

Jasneet Manaise
Senior Vice President, Performance Optimization
Jasneet leads FCC’s Performance Optimization initiatives which includes teams responsible for overseeing the post-Fixture (claims) and Marine Insurance portfolio of the company. He has over 28 years of experience in the shipping industry, with sailing onboard tankers, to representing major oil companies and oil traders in marine loss control, to playing an integral role in developing strategies and operationalizing frameworks to help manage large tanker fleets. Jasneet served on the ABS’ special committee for ship operations from 2011 to 2021 and holds a B.A. in Economics from Punjabi University in India and a Degree in Applied Sciences from the Australian Maritime College in Launceston, Australia.

Derek Paruolo
Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Services
Derek joined FCC in 2005 as a vessel operator. In 2009 he was promoted to North American Operations Manager, and in 2011 he transitioned to Planning & Development. Today, Derek leads our Finance and Corporate Services group, overseeing global finance, accounting, human resources, and business information technology. Much of his focus is working with the executive team on strategy development and implementation, capital sourcing, and long-term fleet development planning. Derek holds an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut, M.S. in International Transportation Management and B.S. in Marine Transportation from the State University of New York Maritime College.

A vision from the start
Fairfield Chemical Carriers was established in 1996 through a coming together of partners with a shared vision and a track record of success in chemical tanker ship owning and trading. The founding management team’s leadership, supported by Fairfield Maxwell Ltd.’s financial stability, resources, and strong connections in the Japan shipping community, set the course. The group’s core ambition remains firmly in place today and is reflected in our commitment to constantly improving. Simply put, we want to be the very best chemical tanker company we can be – one our customers can rely upon, trust, appreciate, and enjoy doing business with – wherever we offer our services. The group is private and closely held by shareholders with experience in shipping dating back to the 1950’s. Management is empowered to plan and act for the long term ensuring stability and consistency to our customers.
